01 — History
Twelve seasons of freestyle.
Freestyle Mixology™ started in 2013 as a one-night side-event in a Copenhagen basement — three bartenders, two judges and a bottle of vermouth. It has run as a freestyle bartending competition ever since, with content produced around each edition.
Our format rewards what the back-bar actually demands: speed, taste, narrative and the nerve to do something nobody asked for.

First edition
02 — Format
How a season plays out.
Heats
Open to bartenders in active service. Heat locations and dates are announced per edition.
Speed round
Five minutes. Mystery basket. Two serves on the pass — one classic re-imagined, one freestyle.
Signature round
Eight minutes. Tell a story in two drinks built around the season's sponsor portfolio.
Final
Finalists meet for a closing round, judged by a panel from the bar industry and trade.
